Wow! That's Some Bedroom Tax: £500 per Room?

You no doubt will have heard of the benefits "bedroom tax" but Lewisham Council in London have created one of their own, just for landlords to pay. They could be charging landlords £500 to register just one room in an HMO under licensing regulations.

The claim comes from Richard Tacagni, managing director of an independent consultancy London Property Licensing.

He says that the new HMO licence fee being brought in by Lewisham Council will be by far the highest in London and probably in England. Guess which political party controls Lewisham Council, go on.......
