Northern Ireland is the least expensive part of the UK to rent in, after the north east of England. The figures are from the rental index by The Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS). The average rent at the end of 2021 was £571, and whilst the the index shows that as an annual rise of 3.63% we have experienced much higher increases when re-letting. Some two bedroomed terrace properties have increased immediately by £100 per month when tenants changed.
