NI housing market to return strong says recent local survey

Posted: 18/6/2020

A recent Covid-19 survey conducted by PropertyPal has suggested that the Ni market will return strong, even if prices are slightly depressed. The survey was carried out on potential buyers and has shown that slightly more people intend buying this year than did pre-CV19. Priorities have also changed. Unsurprisingly, outdoor space, internet connectivity and home office space feature in the top preferences, along with being close to family and having a good sense of community. However, most buyers are now looking at less expensive homes and the majority believe that property prices have or will fall this year. Whilst that again is no surprise, if buyers believe that prices will come down, then they will believe that this is a good time to buy and this will drive the market. For sellers, Key One Property can also provide some great news - our sale fee is only 0.5% with no additional VAT, representing a huge saving for most property sellers*.Full details of the PropertyPal survey are here. *Subject to minimum fee and T&Cs.
