Landlord's human rights set to be attacked again

Landlord's human rights are set to be attacked and eroded yet again by the current Tori government in a bid to win the rental vote from Labour. A new bill will ban landlords from obtaining possession of their property through their own free choice, and instead they will only be able to do so if they have "concrete" reasons, which would be specified in the legislation. This is an erosion of the right to one's property as specified in Article 1 of the Human Rights Act. The government are using an exemption however that it is in the "public interest" - no doubt if it comes into force we could see a legal challenge. Thankfully the legislation will only cover England and Wales at this stage.
