Belfast Tenants Lose Bargaining Power On Rent Prices
Posted: 14/3/2016
Figures from letting agents accross the UK are showing that tenants are losing their bargaining power when it comes to negotiating rents.
The percentage of properties being let for less than the asking price is around 2%, a downward trend. This is no doubt a result of supply and demand, something that we are noticing in the greater Belfast area.
Of course at Key One we don't just think that a higher rental price will increase landlord returns, we also concentrate in letting to good quality long term tenants, where we can. That means less voids and less expenses - arguably much better than a small increment on rents.
